Jeff Babko kills on “Brother Can you Spare a Dime’

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Went over to Jeff Babko’s studio for him to lay down some B3 on ‘Brother Can You Spare a Dime” and keyboards on a couple of other tunes. Man the guy is a great player and a great guy too. I mentioned to him that I was a big fan of Steve Lukather and that I knew that he had worked on his CD’s, and that Steve and me we were friends back when we were kids, just before I ended up on the streets. He told me that he had just finished work on Steve’s new CD “Ever Changing Times” and how proud he was of Luke and the work. He also said that critics loved his new CD. It was great to hear. It has been a thrill to follow all of his great accomplishments through the years.

Happy New Year! Bruce Fowler will conduct orchestra!!

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Happy New Year! Today, I spoke to Bruce and Walt Fowler and Bruce agreed to be Music Supervisor and to conduct the orchestra and he’s playing on it as well. These guys are busy. There was a real question, if they would be able to do it all. I was hoping they would and now I can’t believe it, they are going to do it. The Fowler Brothers are part of music and movie music history. Walt Fowler schedule has opened up and will play trumpet and horns on the orchestra session date. We actually have an Orchestra recording session date scheduled on the calendar. I am so excited, an orchestra! I called Dennis Moody he was very happy and told me there would be more great days like this. I know I won’t be able to sleep tonight.
