Lady Stardust Tribute Released!

Lady Stardust Album Cover

Michael Tinholme & Band of Legends has released "Lady Stardust," an incredible tribute to David Bowie.

Recorded at Hollywood's iconic Paramount Recording Studios, the tune features pianist Mike Garson, a collaborator with Bowie for more than 35 years. The track also featured top LA session artists, including Gary Novak (drums), Mike Miller (guitar), Brandon Fields (sax), Edwin Livingston (bass), and Billy Steinway (keys).

Tinholme attended David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars Tour on March 10, 1973, at Long Beach arena in California. This changed everything. Tinholme says: "He, his music, his band...captivating! It was theatrical. It was spiritual. It was liberating."

Tinholme & Mike Miller: Think How It's Gonna Be

“Together.” A word that aspires. In almost every aspect of our lives, the word “together” has found more meaning to all of us. The virus most vicious impact has been on our togetherness, and our need to be close and share our love and support for each other, when its needed most. These extraordinary sacrifices made by our doctors, nurses, caregivers and their families, and the emotional toll they willingly take upon themselves, is superhuman. Not many know that due to the virus, and its impact on the economy, there are more than 4 million kids in America at risk of being homeless.

Covenant House steps up to give much needed care to homeless and exploited youth. They shelter these kids from the elements, defending them from human traffickers and the virus. The more who know, the more you can help. If you can donate thank you. Spreading the word helps too. www.covenanthouse.org

Thanks to Mike Miller and the other great artists for joining me to support "Duets For Covenant House." Give love always, it can change everything

Michael Re-Releases "Maybe Next Year" for Covenant House

This holiday season, Michael Tinholme is re-releasing his single, "Maybe Next Year," on behalf of Covenant House. Proceeds from sales/streams will benefit the organization. The tune can be found on most digital retail outlets and streaming services.

Covenant House "provides housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness." Covenant House "helps young people transform their lives and put them on a path to independence."

Michael Tinholme donated proceeds to Covenant House after his 2018 concert at Catalina Jazz Club (Hollywood). His connection to the organization runs deep. Michael experienced six years of homelessness as a teenager.

It is Michael's hope that the video (in the right column) will raise awareness of Covenant House and that the donation of proceeds will help the organization's cause.

You can also make direct donations here. Or, generate proceeds for Covenant House by purchasing/streaming the tune on: AmazonApple Music, and Spotify.

Night with Hollywood Stars Collage

A Night with the Hollywood Stars!

Pianist Adam Hersh joined Michael for a special show to benefit Covenant House California. The event, held at the Novo in downtown Los Angeles on April 27, 2019, was entitled "A Night with the Hollywood Stars."

Michael and Adam joined a diverse group of performers for the show, including musicians who are residents and employees of Covenant House. The event was hosted by designer/TV personality Nate Berkus Jeremiah Brent. It was an amazing experience that raised money for "The Cov."
